The Mustangs caught up to the Seahawks late in the first quarter, and then outscored them 26-16 in the third quarter to create the distance they needed to go 1-1 on the West Palm Beach trip.
Morningside went on a 14-1 run that went from late in the third quarter to early in the final frame. During that run, Sam Ehlers had two layups, while Dani Peterson started the run off with a layup of her own.
Clancy Brown and Lily Vollertsen also made shots, while Annie Harms made a layup. The run ended with two Vollertsen free throws.
