SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. – The Mustangs picked up a non-conference win over Bethel College today, winning 4-3 as Morningside claimed the final match over the Threshers, who were receiving votes in the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics poll.

OSKALOOSA, Iowa — Natan Alves led the Morningside men’s volleyball team with 12 kills Saturday, as the Mustangs fell in three sets to 10th-ranked William Penn by set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-20.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Romani Perez arrived at Morningside ready to contribute to the baseball team however he could, even as a freshman. On Friday, he helped the Mustangs (13-10, 1-1 GPAC) earn their first Great Plains Athletic Conference win of 2026.

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Mustangs ran into a formidable opponent in Division II-bound Texas Wesleyan in the first round of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Men’s Basketball National Championship, as Morningside fell to the Rams 83-71.

'We have a special bond:' Mustangs ready for national run

The Morningside men’s basketball team arrived in Shreveport earlier this week to prepare for their fourth consecutive appearance in the NAIA Men’s Basketball National Tournament. The Mustangs open play at 5 p.m. Friday against Texas Wesleyan.

Arnold, a sophomore from Charmey, Switzerland, went 4-0 in completed matches during the week. Two additional matches were ruled no decisions after the duals were clinched by team score.

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Mustangs were looking to keep momentum in their favor as the softball team recovered from an early-season skid, scoring three runs, including the walkoff, in a quick eight-inning 3-2 win over Thomas and scoring late to secure a 3-2 win over Georgetown.

Quartet of Mustangs turn in two Top 10 finishes

The Mustangs’ top finish came in the 200-yard freestyle relay, where the quartet of John Spicer, Justin Bay, Pedro Fernandes, and Santiago Vilches swam the race in 1 minute, 24.51 seconds, good for ninth. The fastest split during that race was Spicer leading off at 20.83.

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference hosted its 2026 Dance Championship at Northwestern today, pitting the league’s nine teams against each other for an automatic pass to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Dance National Championship. The conference also unveiled its 2026 all-conference selections, placing Emma Anderson, Cali Cooper, and Hannah Dillehay on its first and second all-conference teams.
